Tralee Regional Sports and Leisure Centre (Tralee Sports Complex as it is know locally) is the premier sporting facility in the South West catering as it does for individuals, groups, members, schools, Tralee Institute of Technology, local clubs, provincial and National Governing Bodies (NGB’s) and International Sporting Events and in the past has been host to the FISEC Games, International Qualifiers for Olympic Games, National Age Group Swimming Championships and International Racquetball Championships to name a few.

Build in 1976 it has developed over the years into a modern multi purpose facility and user friendly. While many other facilities of this era have since become victim of their age, it has always been a policy of the centre to continuously update and modernise its facilities both through the help of the National Lottery Funding and local funding. It is a facility build for the people and by the people of Tralee and is testament to the high esteem the centre is held with over 350,000 visits a year to the facility. The Complex is owned by Tralee Town Council and Kerry Education Service currently receives no operational funding as it is run by a separate company at arms length away from its owners.
